Hi all! I hope you are enjoying the stirrings of spring. While you are warming your body,
warm your spirit with the new anthology: Just Like A Girl: A Manifesta! It
is a rough-and-tumble, sassy, kick-ass travelogue through the bumpy, action-packed world of GIRL. A world where women and
girls know how to pick themselves up and brush themselves off. These are the clever girls. The funny girls. The girls who
know there is no sin in being born one. And even better my poem "motherless brooklyn" is in it! Get yourcopy at www.girlchildpress.com/products.html $20.00 plus s&h.
Other big news: I have been added to Mosaic Magazines freelance writer roster.
Stay tuned! And please continue to check upcoming events to see what's happening with Mourning Becomes Her in the next
few months. Also, check out the website for my new work of historical fiction beauty! www.a-dark-lady.com/beauty. Let me know what you think of it as well!
Thanks, and happy Spring!

R.A.W.SISTAZ.COM GIVES MOURNING BECOMES HER 4 1/2 STARS OUT
OF 5!!! AND NAMES IT
A TRR FAVORITE BOOK!!
MOURNING BECOMES HER is a complex, literary-style
tale about one woman's journey toward accepting love despite a lifetime of disappointments and rejection. K. C.
Washington carefully creates a character, who despite being self-destructive, readers can understand and relate to.
The tension between her need to reach out to love and the need to build a wall of defense around her heart carries throughout
the book and kept me invested until the very end. There were times when the story stalled, but overall, MOURNING BECOMES
HER is a well-written, intelligent, and enjoyable story.
